Hello! Nice to meet you!

I'm Catherine Chooljian, and I'm an artist and animator! I'm originally from California, but am now living and working in Tokyo.
I graduated from USC's School of Cinematic Arts in 2015 with a BA in Animation and Digital Arts and began working in virtual reality, games, motion capture, and robotics/animatronics as a CG Generalist. In 2017, I decided to continue my education at Animation Mentor to focus more on character and creature animation, which paved the way for my transition into feature film. A few years later I transitioned again to ICVFX and Virtual Production. I'm currently a Lead Character Technical Animator at Crescent, Inc. in Tokyo.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I'm passionate about nurturing the next generation of animators. I've proudly served as the animation mentor for Texas A&M University's 2022 and 2023 Summer Industry Courses and offered guidance as an alumni tutor at Animation Mentor and USC.
If you're looking for an animator with a fine art background, strong technical knowledge, and experience with a wide variety of projects, let's talk!
