The animation mentor for students in Texas A&M's Summer Industry Course.  Students in groups of 6-8 create an animated short from scratch in 14 weeks, going through every part of the pipeline.  Taught students of various experience levels.  Gave several lectures and demos, advised on project scope, met with students one on one, and held dailies and office hours.  Gave students critiques and drawovers on shots, helped them problem solve, helped students figure out their workflow.

12 Minutes with Annapurna Interactive

​

Motion capture animation for an interactive thriller about a man trapped in a time loop.  I worked in MotionBuilder to clean up and retarget the motion capture data and to animate the characters, using the mocap as a base and keyframe animation to exaggerate and refine the motion.  I made sure the animations looped and blended seamlessly and then exported them for Unity.

RelieVR with AppliedVR

 

Worked as an Animator/Motion Graphics Artist for RelieVR, a VR experience using environments and animation to provide an escape to patients dealing with chronic pain or labor pain and help those patients learn coping skills or prepare for care.  Adapted a script into animation in a VR space to communicate complex concepts and ideas.  Designed, directed, and animated several short experiences using particle simulation, motion graphics, and typography.  Used After Effects, Premiere, Trapcode Particular, Illustrator, and Slack.

The Bohemian Rhapsody Experience with ENOSIS VR

 

A virtual reality experiment by Google Play and Queen invites you to experience the monumental Queen track like never before. The 3D, 360 degree journey features interactive elements and spatial sound, allowing you to step inside the music.  Available for Google Cardboard and iOS in both Virtual Reality and 360 video formats.

 

I was Key Animator on the project.   I used Flash/Animate CC and a Cintiq to create 2D animations to play in a virtual reality space. I created concepts for these characters and animations.  I also revised existing animations from other members of the animation team.

​

A web app that makes it easy to create beautiful, drought - friendly yards.  We connect yard owners with the information and businesses that can make change happen.  Helped organize a database of drought friendly plants, created a color palette, and created some of the art assets used in the yard creation tool.  Ongoing project.

Luminarias

​

My thesis film at USC.  5 minute 3D animated short film about a lonely young girl who follows a magic jellyfish into the sky.  Directed a small team of 9.  I did all of the 3D animation and storyboarding, as well as some 3D modeling, texturing, layout, compositing, hair and cloth dynamics, and sound design.

​

A fully immersive virtual reality world-building sandbox experience.  You embody a young nature spirit who has to master their powers of creation.  You’re sent to a small planet to hone your skills.  You can sculpt the land, grow plants, and meet interesting creatures that will appear depending on what you grow.  I did concept art, 3D modeling, texturing, animation, and motion capture.

I was a crew member on this live talk show broadcast through Trojan Vision (USC's TV station).  My responsibilities included operating the camera, mixing audio, and working master control.

I was a producer for The Toast, a live morning show broadcast through Trojan Vision (USC's TV station).  I was responsible for creating content and booking guests to appear on the show, as well as crewing at on location shoots.

​

The Dog-Boy

An animated short film about a boy whose dog turns into a kid.  Did some animation and some cycles for the dog in Flash.
